Dear Unity of Fayetteville Member,
The Board of Trustees at Unity of Fayetteville is requesting your attendance for a Special Membership Meeting on November 22, 2020, at 11:30, immediately following our virtual Sunday service.
Due to the Covid pandemic this year, local & state mandates for group gatherings & physical distancing have created the need for Sunday services & business meetings to be held most safely by electronic means. The state of Arkansas is currently under a “State of Emergency” as proclaimed by our Governor, allowing us to officially hold virtual business meetings. Our current Bylaws do not address Emergency Situations. Unity Worldwide Ministries has provided the template & encourages this addition to our Bylaws so that we are covered in making our own decisions once the Proclamation is lifted next year. This will allow our January Annual Membership Meeting to be virtual, if the Board of Trustees feels it necessary for the safety of this ministry.
Please review the proposed amendment on the next page.
Be prepared to ask questions, discuss, and vote on adding Article XII.
In Love and Joy,
2020 Unity of Fayetteville Board of Trustees

Unity of Fayetteville, Center for Conscious Living
ARTICLE XII – Emergency Situations
In the case of a national emergency declared by the President of the United States, a State Emergency declared by the Governor, or a local emergency as determined by a two-thirds (2/3rds) vote of the local ministry trustees present and voting, the Board of Trustees is authorized to meet by electronic means and to have the full power to adjust budgets, vote and cancel/postpone events or reschedule them as electronic meetings. As long as the emergency lasts, the Board of Trustees may take any other emergency actions deemed helpful and necessary to assure the welfare of this ministry.
